Peru: Travel and Explore the Incas
Peru has it all, amazing nature from the high Andes, jungle in the Amazon, long stretch beaches and empty deserts. Next to this Peru has a very rich culture with Incas and Spanish history. You can see that in every place you go; the historical buildings, dresses of the ingenious people, way of cultivation and the Peruvian believe in Patchmama. And and don’t forget the food. Peru has one of the best cuisine in the world, with influences from all over the world.
Where to go in Peru?
In Miraflores, Lima you can eat at one of the best restaurants in the world; Central. In Peru you can do so many different things and activities in different places. Hiking and cycling in the Cañón del Colca and surf the longest left wave near Huanchaco, Chicama. The main attraction in Peru is without a doubt the Inca cities of Cusco and Machu Picchu, but don’t skip the rest of The Sacred Valley! Puno is known for the local market and worth a visit to buy your souvenirs.
In the north of Peru, Máncora area, you will find more tropical weather conditions where you can have a good beach time. From here Ecuador is not far away. In the south of Peru close to the Bolivian border, you have the highest lake in South America, Lake Titicaca with the famous reed islands. Don’t underestimate the distances in Peru, the roads are winding through the Andes but flights are a good option to cover the long distances.
